As Project leader I: Organize and set timelines for completing projects, working with design studio manager and other PL’s to discuss project scope, review client standards and set priorities for the design studio team. Work with the design firms and contractors to achieve results and work as a cohesive team to achieve client expectations. Space planned large and small corporate offices spaces, resulting in a more efficient use of the space increasing the number of stations while maintaining user function. Work with client product inventories to reconfigure their spaces to solve growth challenges effectively & cost consciously

•Design team leader for showroom department remodels for stores Nationally. •Developed retail design, merchandising, fixtures and home furnishing solutions that supported the brand and represented local demographics and trends. •Project managed design projects including developing design budgets, timelines and detailed resource planning. Supplied information and created tendering documents for contractors, architects and the phase planning of the project. •Partnered with store teams, sales and logistics management, Graphic specialist, and visual merchandising specialist to secure business priorities and national sales goals. •Researched North American living situations, home life and purchasing habits to create store designs and merchandising solutions that were presented to global merchandising product teams. •Designed corporate office, space planned, specified furniture, fixtures, finishes. Created working drawings for contractors. Planned communication and graphics to support corporate brand standards.

•Led a team of 6 peers, planning the highest volume of room settings within 10 weeks in Canadian history - 195 fresh and inspirational room settings with highly functional solution-based displays that set the standard for the rest of the country. •Managed an implementation team of 20 interior designers and visual merchandisers to implement the new 58,500sq ft. showroom in 12 weeks. Maintained an overview of the project execution and ensured the quality of the home furnishing solutions, construction details and commercial lighting. •Coached and developed interior design team through yearly performance reviews, development talks, one-on-one coaching sessions and group training. •Positively impacted sales and enhanced team productivity through continuous process improvement and talent development. Decreased project planning and implementation time.

•Assisted in the design of 6 branded showrooms, including NeoCon 2006, working with Perkins & Will design firm. Space planning using modular architectural interiors, project management, layout space planning, accessorizing, specifying and ordering product in Canada and the US. •Designed showrooms and products with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) requirements, including manufacturing processes and use of substrates and architectural finishes. •Space planned and designed client office spaces, including specifying furniture architectural interiors and finishes. •Created specifications and design for custom designed furniture, architectural movable walls and access flooring, working with Product Designers, Engineers and manufacturing. •Maintained and organized in-house finish library.

Designed and implemented showroom displays. Implemented projects for the New Edmonton showroom, Vaughn Showroom and Calgary showroom.

Designed custom houses and residential remodels, drafted full sets of plans for clients, including elevations, details, sections, window and door schedules and floor plans.
